Tech Review #1: Ducky Zero Shine - Mechanical Keyboard

Last year a friend introduced me to the world of mechanical keyboards and that's why I decided to get one so I can try it for myself.

Mechanical keyboards is not your traditional keyboard. It uses a special switch underneath every key. There are many kinds of switch that you can choose on. They differ in response, travel time and feel as well as the typing sound. Mechanical keyboards lifespan is about 50 million keystrokes unlike the standard membrane keyboard that only last for about 5-10 million keystrokes.

Now it's time for the review!

This is my first mechanical keyboard and at first I was reluctant to buy it because of the price. A standard mechanical keyboard is ranging from 50-75$ while those with backlights will cost you for about 100-150$.

So last week I decided to get one and what I bought is the Ducky Zero Shine MX Brown switch. There are many variants of Ducky mechanical keyboards but I picked this one because it is new and the price is reasonable ($100) compared to Ducky Shine 2 & 3 ($150) which the main difference is the crazy lighting modes that you can brag to your friends LOL!

I can say that the keyboard was built like a tank! It never flexed and it is heavy! Honestly at first I'm not used to it because the keycaps is small compared to my old keyboard, I tend to press the adjacent keys but as days goes on I overcame it.

Typing on the keyboard is great! The MX Brown switch feels very comfortable. They say that once you typed on this keyboards you will never go back to membrane keyboards!

Pros:

- Good Pricing ($100)
- Heavy and very sturdy
- Backlight looks awesome
- Full keyboard layout.
- Comes with keypuller and extra WASD keycaps

Cons:

- Caps, scroll and numlock backlight intensity is higher than the other keys

Final Words

All I can say is that this keyboard is a great investment if you're always on your desk doing computer stuffs and gaming. The build quality is superb and typing on this keyboard is fast.

Yeah I don't like orange :3

Anime Episode Review #1: Naruto Shippuden Episode 322

One word.. . EPIC!. The animation itself is pretty decent but I'm still waiting for them to change it like the one we've seen on Episode 85  (Team 10 vs Hidan & Kakuzu). This is Madara we're talking about and he deserves an epic animation!

Check out below some screenies of Madara's awesomeness!
